A New Year…A New Look. Is it time that you updated your headshot?

I’ve spent a lot of my life dealing with scientists. As a scientist, one of the key things you have to do is regularly present your work to other scientists.

For these seminars to be promoted you need a summary of your work (an abstract) and a profile image. I can categorically say that scientists have the worst profile images imaginable.

Sure, you might say, their audience is other scientists so why should they care…..right?

Well, when you are repeatedly bombarded with these seminar invites, they all start to blend into one and you learn to ignore them. That’s until, on the rare occasion you do a double take at a promotional piece….wow you think to yourself, now they look professional AND you start to pay attention to what they have to say.
